Let me walk you through follow these steps:
First, you need to install and activate the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin.
Navigate to Plugins > Add New > Search [ PayPal]
Once you find this plugin, Install and Activate it.
Go to Navigate > WooCommerce > Settings > Payments
PayPal payment method has been added.
So, toggle the switch on to enable it and click “Save changes.”
Now, click on the Setup button.
That will take you to the PayPal Checkout page, where you just click on the Toggle to manual credential input section.
A credentials information field appears when you click on the Toggle to manual credential input section. Like below.
The Sandbox option or mode here allows you to test your WooCommerce PayPal connection, but we do not use it now. We can get these key IDs from our PayPal account.
First, you have to log in to your PayPal account. If you don’t have it, you can easily get it. Click this link to create a new PayPal business account here.
Once you’ve created your merchant account, log into it.
This is the dashboard of PayPal.
First, we need a live merchant ID. Let’s find out where it is.
Mouse Hover over your name in the top right corner of your account dashboard. A new section comes up, then click Account Settings
Now, click on the Business information tab, and you can see you’re merchant ID.
Next, you need to enter the client ID and the secret key.
You have to create it. Follow these steps.
Click on the Developer button in the top panel of your business account dashboard. The developer account dashboard shows up.
When we mouse hover over your name in the top right corner, a new section will scroll down. Find out Dashboard, then click on it.
Here we have two options: one sandbox and the other Live. Sandbox is a test mode to test your payment, but we work on live payment, so in that case, click on the Live tab. In the My apps & credentials section. Here we create an app. Click on Create App.
Type your app name, then click on the Create App button again.
After creating the app, you will see the client ID under the live API credentials.
For the Live Secret Key, click Show under the Secret field, then Secret Key Reveal.
Now, we will get all of our necessary credentials.
So copy and paste them on the PayPal Checkout page.
Then click “Save changes.”
Now you can see we have successfully connected PayPal to WooCommerce.
Lastly, at the top of the page, check the Enable the PayPal Gateway box.
